May 16: Reading at The Huntington In Nashua, New Hampshire

PREVIOUS EVENTS, Readings

The Huntington is a highly regarded retirement commuity in Nashua, New Hampshire. They offer a great many stimulating programs for their residents. Indeed, the mission of The Huntington is to encourage its residents to make the most of each day “by living an active, independent lifestyle that offers beauty, comfort and security.” And it is beautiful up there. I am so glad this event is scheduled for May when the natural beauty of the surrounding area will be in full bloom.

On May 16th, I will reading from my novel Bloodlines. I will also talk about my own personal history as a South African ex-patriot and discuss apartheid and the fight to end it. I will also lead a discussion and takes questions from the audience. After all is said and done, I will sign books for those who would like to purchase a copy.

I was intrigued to learn about The Huntington. Choosing a retirement community has to be a very difficult decision for those entering that stage of their lives. It seems that The Huntington is all about creating freedom and independence, not limiting it. I was impressed with the ample offering of events and programs. It appears to be a very stimulating environment.

The reading and discussion on May 16th is just one of those events. I am pleased to join this community to discuss South Africa, apartheid the struggles of the  characters in the book and my own personal history as a South African.
